    hey dana,

i'm involved in a big camp this year and thus have not had much time to put into an individual art project. but i have been daydreaming of projects for next year. maybe we could form a larchie community project for 2007!

I was really impressed with the giant flower crain I saw in photos on the net. I would be interested in brainstorming something. I think next year may be my first burning man experience and I would love to take part in an art installation as part of that.

        Hey Dana,

I've been going to bMan for quite a few years (couldn't have guessed that from my name, eh?) and am on the art committee for the Esplanade theme camp "The Lost Penguins."

Given that this year's theme is Green Man, I see it as a perfect opportunity to do something with a landscape architecture twist.

Want to join us? We'd love more input, and will have hands and funds to accomplish something cool.

Of course, anyone who wants to join us is welcome...

I like the idea of water in the desert, maybe bring bathtubs and water plants? make a, dare I say it, pond? a wet watery green world.

Oh Stacey, that's a lovely idea, but the conditions out there are so brutal that real plants can't make it a day. A bathtub full of water would be mud in 24 hours, because of the playa dust. However, a closed terrarium might possibly work! I'm all about terrariums. They would provide protection from the alkaline dust and be a perfect closed ecosystem to offer up to the Green Man. And those attending.
